OCPP 1.6 Certification
Powerfill passed Open Charge Alliance certification testing for all three OCPP 1.6 profiles available to a Charging Station Management System.
What this certification covers
This certification applies to the Powerfill Charging Station Management System, product designation SteVe OCPP Pro, OCPP software version Powerfill.io - SteVe OCPP Pro v3.14.0. It does not certify charging station hardware and it does not extend to third-party equipment connected to the platform.
The certified profiles
Core, Smart Charging and Advanced Security are the three certification profiles available for an OCPP 1.6 CSMS. Powerfill passed all three.
Core
Charging station functionality for booting, authorization, configuration, transactions, remote control, local authorization list management, reservations, secure firmware updates and Security Profile 2.
Smart Charging
Support for Smart Charging, using charging profiles and schedules to control charging behaviour and power consumption.
Advanced Security
Support for TLS with client authentication, which is Security Profile 3, using client-side certificates for mutual authentication.

What this means for SteVe
Powerfill incorporates the SteVe OCPP implementation without changing its protocol logic or behaviour, so the shared implementation was exercised and validated as part of the certified system. The certificate applies to the tested Powerfill backend and version, not to SteVe as a standalone open-source distribution, nor to other SteVe builds and deployments.
OCA certification confirms that the tested product conformed to the OCPP 1.6 test cases for the listed profiles at the time of testing. It is not a warranty or guarantee of product quality, performance, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. OCPP is a trademark of the Open Charge Alliance. The OCPP certification mark is used under licence from the Open Charge Alliance.
